DEAD SEA

There are many interesting things to talk about in the Middle East, but I’m here today to talk about one thing and that’s the Dead Sea. The Dead Sea is also known as The  Salt Sea because it is a salt lake that borders Jordan, Palestine and Israel Seas. Did you know that the Dead Seas surface is 427 metres (1,401ft) below sea level? That’s the worlds lowest elevation on land! Did you also know that The Dead Sea is 306m (1,004ft) deep and also the worlds saltiest body of water in the world? I also heard that it’s so salty that when you get into the water it can literally burn or boil your skin.

The Best Place To Live In Dubai

The World's Biggest Place To Live

Dubai is the best place to live. I am saying that because Dubai has smart technology and not stupid technology. One reason about me said smart because they made a big city on top of a desert. Also Dubai has the world’s longest skyscraper called Burj Khalifa. The Burj Khalifa uses a lot of gallon per day. Before there was Dubai it was all a desert which you might think there is no water, but you are wrong. It always used to rain in the desert that’s why if you go to a desert close to Dubai you will see there is moister. If you went to Dubai what would you do in Dubai?

Dolphin or Dolphin.

In Southwest Asia there have been more than 6,000 rare kinds of dolphin found.
Dolphins have been found because people are catching them by accident in their fishing nets. When they are caught,  the dolphins are most likely to die. One of the types of dolphins that have been found are Chinese White Dolphins. I don’t know about you but I love dolphins, and I think we should stop with the fishing nets, do
you?

You Think You've Got it Bad?

Human rights in Syria are said to be the worst in the world. Laws and penalties discriminates against women and girls. And boys as young as 11 years old have been gang raped by security services officers. In August 2013 the Syrian Government was suspected of using chemical weapons against its civilians. Human rights in Iraq are bad as well they target people by their gender or sexual orientation and people who dress in emo style are mistakenly associated with homosexuality. So the next time you think you are being mistreated I want you to think of the children and women in Syria

Dubai

This is a Picture of Dubai islands. The one on the right is islands put together to make the world. The one on the left is a tree. They look close to each other but they are actually really far away. I don't know the exact length. I bet that it would be really cool to live on one of these islands(if you can live on them). Have you ever been to one of these islands?

Dubai is cool

I think Dubai is an amazing place especially for tourist. I think the coolest thing in Dubai is the palm islands, but i've never been there. I've never seen a hand made island that people can live on. Also the water around the Palm Island looks like a great place for swimming when its  hot outside. Another cool thing is the water shooters. They have these water shooters that shoot water in different ways to make cool shapes and in different colors. Click here for a cool tourist video of Dubai. So those are a few reasons why I think Dubai is a really cool place to travel to. What do you think of Dubai? would you like to travel to Dubai?

Ring O' Fire

The Ring O’ Fire is a big circle around the Pacific ocean. It has around 452 volcanoes. It is an amazing sight to behold with alot of eruptions. The Ring O’ Fire has towns far away but not far away enough so you can't see them erupt. I would love to see them erupt in person but I can’t so all I have is this video. Would you guys want to see that in person, and also tell me how often do they erupt.

Lima desert safari

Lima is one of the most beautiful places in the world.  Desert is what makes up the most of the country.  You can take a wonderful adventure threw the desert, seeing many amazing animals and creatures.  Nights there reveal millions of stars it provide the perfect opportunity to relax.  You also gets to ride on camels and Lima oasis.  They operate from the 1st of September until the 31st of August, you go back and forth from a hotel in Dubai for two days. Would you go on this trip?

Everything Pakistan

Pakistan has a great field hockey team and a great cricket team. Their cricket team is ranked 3rd best in the world and their field hockey team is ranked 11th in the world. They also won the field hockey gold medal not once not twice but three times! One dollar in Pakistani money equals 100 dollars there. More people there have motorcycles than cars! Which is pretty cool. The bad thing though is that the light goes out every TWO HOURS. Its really warm there too so you would be very hot . Do you think Pakistan is a interesting country?

Al-Wadi Water Park

The Wild Wadi Water Park is an outdoor waterpark in Dubai,United Arab Emirates.  Situated in the area of Jumeirah, next to the Burj Al Arab and the Jumeirah Beach Hotel. There is 3 pools and 17 water slides, a heated/cooled wave pool, two artificial surfing machines. They also had the largest waterslide outside of North America but recently it was removed to make space for two other rides. Another feature of the park is an 59 ft waterfall that goes off every ten minutes. The water park also has two gift shops, three restaurants and two snack stands. It was featured in The Amazing Race 5 and The Amazing Race Asia 1, in which teams had to slide down a 69 ft drop. It was later featured in The Amazing Race Australia 2, but instead, the teams had to ride the Surf Machine and use boogie boards to surf their way to the end where they will get their next clue. Would you ever want to take a trip here?

Pakistan is the best

I think Pakistan is the most  interesting country in   south east Asia. Well you might say Simon what's so cool about Pakistan? Well let me show you why. Did you know, that Pakistan is really good at field hockey they  won the Olympic gold medal 3 times in 1960, 1968, and 1984. Also did you know that the population of Pakistan is around 193 million people, Pakistan is the 6th populous country in the world. I think Pakistan is the best. Would you like to this country visit?

tallest building in the world

Did you know that Dubai has the tallest building in the world, its a skyscraper and its 829.8 m (2,722 ft) tall.Dubai is shaped like a group of islands that make the shape of the world its actually man made.Wouldn’t you want to go to dubai. Its  a good place to visit when you go, where would you go in dubai the skyscraper or go in a plane or something to see the shape of the world.

THE RED SEA

The Red Sea or the  Erythraean Sea. It is a seawater inlet off the coast of the Middle East and the Indian Ocean. The Red Sea is 220.6 mi wide and 1938 mi long. The Red Sea is between semi arid and arid land. The Red Sea is warmer in the south and colder in the north. Because of this, it has two crazy monsoon seasons. So tell me do you want to go to the Red SSEEAA SEA Sea sea? Look I made it echo.

Asia

Asia is the worlds largest continent and is the most populated area. It has 17.21 sq miles. I thought Africa was the largest but it is not. By looking at it I’d expect a lot of people to agree with me. Asia is a very grand place. It has over 50 loved restaurants. It has a lot of awesome water parks. I have never been to Asia But I have dreamed of going there. Would you like to go to Asia?

Middle East Stadiums

There are a lot of cool and awesome places in The Middle East everywhere. I think that sports stadiums are the coolest. The biggest stadium in Turkey is in Marmara. The name of the stadium is Sinan Erdem Spor Salonu. They use this arena for the Olympics because it is so big and holds the most people. It was built in 2010. Would you want to go and see a game in this awesome stadium/arena.

Awesome sanctuary's untouched by human hands

Even though in southwest Asia there are some troubled times they have some of the coolest places.(cool) . I would love to come and stay at this hotel. There are hidden places all over the world. This the coolest hotel i have ever seen. It was discovered not built. There are places like this all over the world. Green meadows, crystal clear lakes, bright blue skies. It was all untouched by by human war and pollution. It is a beautiful sanctuary. Wouldn't you like to live in a beautiful place such as this?

Dubai on fleak

Dubai is a really cool place in the world. For example, there are these really islands that were built off the coast of Dubai. But these islands aren't just islands. They are actually man-made shapes in the water made out of dirt. The shapes are three palm trees and the earth!! Isn't that neat? What's something cool that you know about?

Dubai the best place in the world

I think Dubai is one of the coolest places in the world. It has some of the coolest things you will ever see. Did you know that Dubai is a bunch of small islands that make the shape of the world. Anyway, let’s get to the real point. Dubai has a ski slope in their mall! They also have something called Sega Republic. It is a 76,000 square foot park that has 14 thrill rides and more than 170 games to play there. I challenge you to figure out how much money the richest person in Dubai has. (Hint) it is a ton!!

Blog Episode IV: Iraq Strikes Back

Iraq. It makes you think of ISIS right? The USA has been resisting ISIS for a couple of years now. In August 2014, the US took up arms against ISIS, and many countries aided the US. Soon Australian bombers strike Iraq for hours. After so many fights, the United Kingdom has decided to take immediate action by sending troops to Iraq. Before the war, the US and the UK saw that Iraq was in possession of weapons of mass destruction. Seriously?  When will this war end? Or will it ever end?

The lake is kind of special you can float easy without your two hand because the lake is saltiest in the world. The lake can heal you and by that I say meaning there a mud by the lake and the mud can relive pain. The lake can be useful by using it to farm crops. The lake having problem with farming the lake is getting lower by irrigation and so they are working on how to save the lake before becoming a desert. So would you go to the Dead Sea for a vacation?

Awesome Animals

Awesome Animals

In  the  jungles  of  Borneo  there  is  nocturnal  primate called  a  Slow Loris.  They  are

adorable  monkeys.  They  are  close  cousins  to  bushbabies  and  lemurs. They  are

an  endangered  species. There  are  four  different  kinds  of  slow  lorises

N.menagensis,  N. bancanus,  N. borneanus  and  N. kayan. They  all  look  a  lot  alike

but  each  is  slightly  different  but  so  slightly  that  only  now  do  they  know  they

World of water

Did you know that in Dubai there is a group of islands that make the shape of the world. It is very cool. I never knew about this before I started this did you  know about this before I wrote this if not its alright. I think this is the coolest thing I have ever seen. There is also another one in Dubai that looks like a palm tree. Its very cool. Have you ever been there?

Would you live in Iran?

Did you know Iran was ancient Persia? Well it is!  But there were no dictators but they took it over the Shah. The Persian army was in the war with Greece, but they kept Sparta and Athens from going to war. In Iran it is beautiful, because some of the buildings look 100 years old. You cant go to Iran with a American passport, but you can get a different passport just not a American. So would you live in Iran?en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iran

It's not about beef jerky its about Turkey

I think Turkey is interesting because the total land of Turkey is slightly larger than the state of Texas. Over 80 million people live in Turkey. The highest point in Turkey is Mount Ararat it is 5137 meters high. Modern day Turkey was formed in 1923 following the fall of Ottoman Empire. The currency they use is called Turkey Lira. The ancient city of troy was located in Turkey. Would you like to live in Turkey? Turkey mountains

Don't be flirty, just like turkeys

I think that Turkey is a very interesting country because it has a very cool name. The official name of Turkey is the Republic of Turkey. Over 80 million people live in this country. They are called “Turks”. These people are known to stay true to their country, much like Americans. They understand loyalty like we do. Turkey is also a popular spot for tourists from around the world. My question for you is, what do you know about Turkey?Turkey map

Blog Episode IV: Taking Us to Dizzying Heights in the Midd...I mean Southwest Asia

The Middle East is neither middle nor east (thank you, Eurocentrism!), but it certainly is an interesting place to study. Sure, there have been many wars and terrible conflicts for...well, for centuries in this area, and that makes it a conflict-filled region. But aside from that, being the birthplace of the three greatest (and by greatest I am saying largest) monotheistic religions in the world, it has religious significance to a large percentage of the world's people. And there is more than just religion to draw tourists to the region. Damascus might be the world's oldest continuously populated city. In Turkey you could easily eat breakfast in Asia, have lunch in Europe, then zip out to a movie back in Asia all without leaving the country! The place with the lowest elevation on earth and the tallest building in the world can both be found in this region, too. Or how about this latest little oddity: if you are born in Jerusalem, in what country were you born? What I am saying is that there are amazing things to see and do in this often troubled little corner of the world. Your task? Find one or two of these cool places and talk about them here. Include a picture or a short video (See the insert video button above?) like the one I have found for you that helps bring life to your topic.

NEW grading rules apply. In brief:
Titled, Spelling-Error-Free POSTS must show that you have researched and found an interesting place to visit in the Middle East (5 points) and of course...75+ words and a hyperlink and/or video (4 points) and end with a question (1 point).

Spelling-Error-Free COMMENTS must be the first or second made to a post and 50+ words of course (5 points), and this time should clearly show that you have looked up information from the original author’s post and added it as part of your response (5 points).
