Three Places I Would Like to Visit

One place I would like to visit is India. One reason I would like to visit India is, so I could see the Ganga River. I think it would be cool to learn the true ethnicity. Cricket it looks like baseball/softball (I like watching baseball/softball).  India is one of the biggest democracies in the world.

Another place I would like to visit is Nepal is located in the Himalayas. I heard that they are very artistic people, and I'm a fan of all art. They have some of the rarest species such as he white horned rhino and the bengal tiger.
The last (but certainly not least) place I would like to visit is, Bangladesh. Bangladesh, historically it is prone to to monsoon flooding. More than half of the population is made up of farmers. I think it would be a cool experience to visit Bangladesh.

nUMbEr fiFtEen...

If I were to visit one South Asian country, for the food, it would have to be Nepal. This would have to be because of foods and stuff. The number one most food-food they eat in Nepal has got to be Yomari, this is a steamed, oddly shaped food made out of rice flour. It also contains chakau and kahuwa, which are both Napali sweets. Now, this food is believed to kill the common cold. This might be a bold statement, but as all food is originally from a particular culture, they're completely true.

NEPAL AND ITS TREASURES!

                             NEPAL & ITS TREASURES!

Nepal and its treasures? More like diversity. Nepal's flag is the ONLY flag that is not a quadrilateral in shape! The flag is actually made out of two triangles to represent Hinduism and Buddhism. Do you know what a Yeti is? Well its rumored to be in Nepal. A yeti is an ape-like creature that lives in high valleys.

Namaste is the traditional greeting in Nepal. Namaste can mean Hello, Good Bye, or Thank You but translates to “I salute the God in you.” People put their palms together and then bow their forehead, and say “Namaste.” I shall say namaste now, thanks for reading!

India's Soccer team

There are multiple sports in South asia. The most popular one by far though is Soccer, or known over there as futbol. Also a very good soccer team is from India. I have never really liked futbol but it is really popular over there. One good team is India's soccer team because they have qualified for the last 6 consecutive FIFA World Cups. Japan is also joined in the south asian area by Bangladesh, Japan, Maldives, Nepal and others. It also won its first medal (Bronze) in the summer Olympics of 1968. Its first ever world cup appearance was in 1998. Those are some of the reasons why Japan is one of the better Futbol teams.

Arts and culture festival

I chose to write my blog about a festival in Afghanistan. I have always thought it would be so cool to travel around the world going to different festivals, learning the different cultures. If I ever end up going to Afghanistan I will be sure to go to the Afghanistan Arts and Cultures Festival. The festival started out to preserve, promote, and increase knowledge of the Afghan culture. The festival celebrates the culture with many musical and dance performances along with Afghan food and art displays. So if you ever find yourself in Afghanistan make sure to find out if their arts and cultures festival is going on.

Diwali is a very important celebration in India it happens every october and november in India and people put a lot of lights outside of their homes. It is supposed to celebrate the goddess Lakshmi she is responsible for giving people education, money, success and a good quality of life in our culture. During Diwali we decorate the home in colorful decorations and we make sweets and indian food also we do pujas(prayers) for god. Diwali comes every year according to the indian calender. Another way to say Diwali is Deepavali it has 2 ways to spell its name. A fun fact about Diwali is that it is also celebrated because of Ram returning to Ayodhya.

the origins of Diwali the Hindu festival of light

Diwali is the Hindu festival of light. It originated in India but now it is celebrated around the world. In 2010 it was inaugurated as an official yearly event at the historic Devon House residence for the first time for effort to celebrate the country's Indian heritage nationally. Also it is India's biggest holiday. Diwali or also called Deepavali started around 2,500 years ago. the holiday is 5 days long and has multiple references in religious text. many of the stories are about the triumph of good over evil. This is the origin of diwali the festival of light.

Holi Festival

There is a certain festival that I would love to go that is held in India. Can you guess what it is? Its Holi, also known as the festival of colors. It is a spring festival that is celebrated all across India. Holi is an ancient Hindu religious festival. The colors that you normally see in photos are made of herbs and and flower petals. As well as being a hindu religious festival it is also celebrated outside of this religion. A lot of Holi celebrations start the night before holi were people gather and people perform certain religious rituals and dances. In my opinion I think that Holi would be an amazing experience because I would someday love to be apart of this festival.

Bizarre foods in India

https://food.ndtv.com/food-drinks/8-bizarre-foods-indians-eat-708501

Some bizarre foods in India that I have found are truly interesting. From the state of Goa there are frog legs. The frog legs that they use in Goa are those of the Indian bullfrog, which is famously know as the 'jumping chicken'. There are many more bizarre foods in India such as snail stew and steamed hornets from the Indian state of Nagaland. Nagaland is home to more than 15 tribes with many distinctive taste which includes steamed hornet larvae, snail stew, and get this, SILKWORM CURRY! In conclusion, India is a crazy place with many crazy foods and I don't think I'd try them anytime soon.

STORMS IN INDIA

In India there was a huge dust storm with fierce winds, lightning strikes created by a strong dust storm that has killed more than 110 people and injured hundred more people. Most of these deaths were caused by walls and roofs falling over on people in the middle of the night. Also a lot of wind spread electricity cuts and water shortages. And in the state rajasthan 35 more people died and over 200 were injured after winds downed 8,000 electric pole, uprooted hundreds of trees, destroyed house and killed livestock. Dust storms are are common in this part of India in the summer but loss life on this scale is unusual.

Universal Studios in Singapore!!

There are many cool places and things to do in Singapore.  Singapore is home to many places that we don’t have in the United States.  Singapore has animals that the US does not so that makes their zoo’s cooler and more exciting.  Their gardens are amazing! They have a place called Gardens by the Bay which looks like a place in Wakanda from the Black Panther movie. But the best thing of all is that they have Universal Studios there.  Theirs looks exactly like the one we have in the US. It is also kind of expensive too. It cost €71.10 which is 85.16 in US dollars.  For my family of 4 it would be $340.64 and that’s just for 24 hours. This is South Asia’s first and only Universal Studios theme park, featuring 24 rides, shows and attractions in seven themed zones.  Of all of the cool places their I would like to go to Universal Studios

India es mi PaĆs (hehehhehehehehe)

The East Asia country that I chose was India because my parents are from India so it's one of my favorite countries. Some food that Indian people eat include: Biryani, butter chicken, chana masala, and more. A special celebration in India is Diwali. It is India's biggest festival. When you celebrate Diwali, you use sparklers and fire crackers because it's a festival of lights. Diwali is celebrated every year on different dates. In 2018, it's on November 7th, in 2019 it's October 27th, and in 2020 it's November 14th. Now I'll tell you what Indian kids like to do for fun. Indian children love many different things including crafts, games, and sports. A sport that is played a lot in India is cricket. And since India is a very hot country, you can do lots of outdoor activities. And I want to know, what did you find most interesting about India from reading this? Was it the food? The celebrations? The activities? I personally love all of them. :)

Visiting Maldives

One place in South Asia I would like to visit is the Republic of Maldives. I would like to visit the Maldives because they are in the tropics. They have tropical food such as Fihunu mas, coconuts, Garudhiya, Mas huni, bajiya, and masroshi. Fihunu mas is barbecued fish that has been basted with chili. They also have really good weather year round. The Maldives has a year-round hot tropical climate. Another reason is it's known for its beaches, blue lagoons, and extensive reefs, I would love to go swimming or even learn how to scuba dive there. So basically I want to go to Maldives since it's like the Bahamas.
