Nepalese food

Nepalese Food

Nepali food is very different from our American hamburgers and hot dogs. For example, the main staple diet of most Nepali people is DalBhat and Tarkari – translated as Lentils, Rice and Curried vegetable. Those three foods are all eaten on daily bases. Hands are their spoons and forks in Nepal. They use their right hand to eat and deal with food and use their left-hand to wash themselves in the toilet. Nasty I know. In Nepal, people worship the cow because they consider it the axis of their agricultural economy. Thats why they are not killed and Nepalese don't eat cow meat. Meat from male goats and sheep are most commonly eaten in Nepal. In some places in Nepal, especially rice-growing areas, meals are eaten twice a day at about 10am and 8pm. What interesting facts about food do you have? Eli Awayyyyy!

  1. Good job Eli!! I really liked how you took an interest in researching new foods to try, your foods looked so great that it opened my mind to other cultures. The only problem I have with your blog post is that you highlighted three of your words and I'm not sure why. However, as I was checking out Ashlynn's blog last night I thought about you, because she also did some research of her own, and introduced her readers to several other foods which looked really yummy as well. Again, thank you for another great blog posts.
