Hola chicos y chicas. I’m going to write about the Ifugao Rice Terraces in the Philippines. The Ifugao Rice Terraces are the priceless contribution of Philippine ancestry to the world. It was built 2000 years ago. They were passed on from generation to generation. The terraces illustrate a cultural tradition that is remarkable. The Rice Terraces of the Philippine Cordilleras were declared National Treasures. It takes a lot of teamwork from the community to make the rice terraces. They use detailed knowledge of the resources in their country. If you could make one or see how it was made would you?
I struggle with word usage.
Hi, Kaden I think it would be really cool to watch a terrace being made. Jacob also talks about the terraces in his post and I think you would enjoy it. Did you know that the terraces situated at altitudes between 700 m and 1,500 m above sea level? That is pretty high! They could turn running up the terraces into an olympic sport since it is 1500 meters and there is a 1500 meter run!
ReplyDeleteKaden, please do try to put the information that you find into your own words. This was almost word for word from a paragraph on this site: http://whc.unesco.org/en/list/722
