Southeast Asia's Great Sports!!

Southeast Asia has many sophisticated and interesting sports. To me, the most interesting sport in Southeast Asia is baseball. Although, it is not an olympic sport, it is still a very popular sport there. It has been added as a sport program of the biennial sporting event. They have had tournaments every other year since 2005. Philippines has earned the gold medal two out of the three years they have had the tournament. For every sport in the Southeast Asian games, Thailand has won the most gold medals out of every country. Once again, Southeast Asia has great, fun sports.

Luang Prabang Laos

Luang Prabang Laos lies deep in the jungle. The city nearby has beautiful architecture. It has many quiet temples where you could relax. This tourist site is most famous for it's daily processions, which is when local Munks gather to the site to gather food. They come wearing saffron robes to do their daily routine. It also has pretty waterfalls and bathing pools.  A lot of celebrities have gone to the area to vacation there.  There are also a lot of 5 star restaurants in the area which hold the best chefs. You won't regret coming down to visit this beautiful landmark.

waterfalllllll

If I went to Laos I would go to Kuang si falls. It is located 18 miles south of Luang Prabang. I would like to go to the falls because you can go swimming in them and there are a bunch of little pools going down so its like a bunch of little fresh water pools. The pools are also pretty clean because there turquoise At least one waterfall is closed because it is a sacred site. The rest of the waterfall you can go swimming with a small fee. The lead fall cascades from 200 ft ( thats like 40 Ashlynns!)Where would you go?

the Bae of Krabi Province

   Krabi Province
I think this would be a good place to climb mountains.  Their mountains are in a beautiful location with good weather.  When you finish climbing, you can go swimming in the beautiful blue water. Finally, if you just want to relax and enjoy the sunshine, there are beaches with the best sand and water for your enjoyment.

This is Tiger Cave in Krabi Province.  If I were to go there, I think I would like to take my whole family and friends here.  I think I would be able to make the hundreds of steps up to it.
Then, it would be fun to compare the beaches here with the ones at Lake Michigan or the Cayman Islands.  Which would you rather do:  Spend the day on the beach or visit Tiger Cave?

Bromo-Tengger-Semeru National Park myn's better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bromo-Tengger-Semeru National Park, Indonesia
I currently did some research on Bromo-Tengger-Semeru National Park.  Bromo is know for there volcanos. Including Mount Bromo (2,329 m), Mount Batok (2,470 m), Mount Kursi (2,581 m), Mount Watangan (2,661 m), and Mount Widodaren (2,650 m).  Mount Batok is the only peak that is no longer active, and is covered in casuarina trees.  From the pictures I have seen it must be very hot and beautiful.   It is the only conservation area in Indonesia that has a sand sea, the Tengger Sand Sea. Across which is the caldera of an ancient volcano, from which four new volcanic cones have emerged. Would you like to visit here?

Southeast Asia.......

There are many cool sports in Southeast Asia, Did you know that the Southeast Asian games are also referred to SEA? Ha neither did I. The two most popular sports in Southeast Asia are Kabaddi and Takraw. Kabaddi is more like a wrestling sport takraw is similar to volleyball, But in Takraw you can only use your knees, chest, feet and head. Did you know that unlike the Olympic games, there are no official limits to the number of sports which may be contested? I think that pretty cool. Do you? I think the sport that I would like to try is Takraw because I love volleyball and I think it would be fun to try something new. What about you, would you like to try to play Kabaddi or Takraw?

Bay

Hey guys so I got my new favorite place and  it is  Halong Bay, Vietnam. It is the most beautiful place in the world because it has the best sunrises and sunsets for a  cruise(often misspelled words). I also like it because they believe that a dragon formed all those islands and you have to visit to see if its true (Halong bay is also known as descending dragon). I like this place because it has rock climbing outside and water resorts and has a lot of places for kids. The climate is very warm and I would just play there all day. There are also multiple(often misspelled word) islands in the bay and there is a very beautiful cave for couples that looks gorgeous(often misspelled word). Halong Bay is a very beautiful place and that is why I would love to visit. I love this place. Why would you want to visit the bay? Tell me why would you go.

Chinese junks and cruise ships passing by limestone islands in Halong Bay.

Southeast Asia attractions

If I was going to visit Southeast Asia I would want to go to one of their most popular tourist attractions. I would go to Angkor Archaeological Park in Cambodia because of their Temples , their are over 400 square kilometres!!! You would definitely need more than one day to see all that the temples of Angkor has to offer. I would also visit Penang , they are most known for their unique mixture of  Chinese and Indian foods. They have Spicy Curries and savoury soups and for a good price! So if you had a choice where would you go ?

Ifugao Rice Terraces are DA BOMB.COM

Hola chicos y chicas. I’m going to write about the Ifugao Rice Terraces in the Philippines. The Ifugao Rice Terraces are the priceless contribution of Philippine ancestry to the world. It was built 2000 years ago. They were passed on from generation to generation. The terraces illustrate a cultural tradition that is remarkable. The Rice Terraces of the Philippine Cordilleras were declared National Treasures. It takes a lot of teamwork from the community to make the rice terraces. They use detailed knowledge of the resources in their country. If you could make one or see how it was made would you?

I struggle with word usage.

Angkor Archaeological Park

The Angkor Archaeological Park can be found in Cambodia. It is known by many, for being a very important agricultural site. The park has several large temples, one of which is about 400 sq kilometers; however if you are having a difficult time figuring out just how wide this temple actually is, you can equate it to around 258 miles, now that's a wide temple! The temples of Angkor are also seen by many as being highly symbolic, because they possess writings that represent different things within the Asian culture.
The Hindu concept, which is also known as being temple-mountain, is where the temples were built and they stand as a representation of Mount Meru. The temples in Augkor are surrounded by moats and they were built in a mountain which looks like a pyramid shape that has five towers.
My question to you is, would you like to visit the Angkor Archaeological Park and stand at the top of one of their beautiful temples?

I often struggle while writing to keep my thoughts focused.

I would like to expand upon my ability to write in sequential order,

I struggle with following directions and would like train myself to read before I write.

Thailand

Thailand would be a Awesome place to visit. The best thing about Thailand would be the beautiful beaches. I looked up pictures and the beaches looked beautiful. There is a lot of amazing beaches and buildings there. Thailand has the 9th largest building in the world. 95% of their religion is Buddhism. Thailand is the 20th most populated countries in the world. Also Thailand is the world's largest exporter of rice. OK now back to the beaches for now. The coastline is 3219 km long. Also I bet you didn't know this, (or maybe you did) Thailand means land of the free. Have you ever been to Thailand, and if you had a choice to go would you?

Angkor Archeological Park

This place, it is big and interesting, so sit back and relax while I tell you about this magnificent place. In the Angkor Archeological Park, only one temple is still completely built, the others were worn down by time itself. This place has an amazing history which I would like to share with you. The first reason that I want to go there is that it has a jungle around it which provides a great photographic view. My next reason is the one that fascinates me. Which is: Angkor artists and scribes never told their reason of abandoning the area. I would like to show and improve my writing by stating my last reason of wanting to go there. I want to see the temple of Angkor Wat because of it’s magnificent structure and size.

The Fascinating Angkor Archaeological Park

                              Angkor Archaeological Park

The Angkor Archaeological Park is located in the country of Cambodia. This building is 400 kilometers long or 248.548 miles long. When you imagine that,(is the comma necessary) you say it is really huge for a building. The building represented the mythical Mount Meru. The temple Angkor Wat was  dedicated to the Hindu god named Lord Vishnu. The Angkor Wat was surrounded by a rectangular moat with full of water measuring 1300 meter x 1500 meters. This temple was built in the 12th century. I think you would say that is a long time ago. Well you are right because this temple was built by the Khmer King Suryavarman II in the early 12th century. Now I know so much of this temple it sounds pretty cool and would have a nice visit. Do you think you can find much cooler things to interest people?

Angkor Archaeological Park

There is a place called Angkor Archaeological Park. This place is located in Cambodia and it is awesome. It is about 400 kilometers long which is really big for a building. You don't even have to do anything except look at it to be amazed because of how massive it is. It was built to represent the mythical Mount Meru. The temple Angkor Wat is dedicated to the Hindu god, Vishnu. Angkor Wat is surrounded by a moat and an exterior wall measuring 1300 meters x 1500 meters. The temple itself is 1 km square and consists of three levels surmounted by a central tower. I struggle to imagine what this place actually looks like.. Now I think This is pretty cool. Do think you can find something cooler?Image result for Angkor Archaeological Park

Great things in Nepal.

Nepal has a lot to offer such as white water rafting, mountain climbing, and an array of national parks. Many of Nepal’s cities are lively and vibrant and attract travelers with inexpensive food and lodging, not to mention bucket-list-worthy sights. See the sights of the capital city on a Kathmandu countryside bike tour. Those of you who have Nepal on your must see list specifically to get some Himalayan hiking in while you enjoy a 4 day Kathmandu Valley trekking tour, including Bhaktapur.  To see all the highlights of the region in the most efficient way, take a 5 day Himalayas tour, including a Mt. Everest region trek, with round-trip flights from Kathmandu. These are just some of the great things you can do in Nepal. This seems like lots of fun. Would you visit here?

Krabi Province, Thailand

I would like to visit because it's warm there.

The beaches are beautiful.

You could scuba dive.

You can rock climb.

It has beautiful long sand beach.

It looks like Cayman Islands where I like to go

Anngkor Archaeologiacal Park

Angkor Archaeological Park is a park located in Cambodia is known for being one of the most important agricultural sites. This is a old temple. The size of this temple is around 400 square kilometers,(do i need a comma) that is around 258 miles that is very big. The temples of Angkor are highly symbolic structures. The foremost Hindu concept is the temple-mountain, where the temple is built as a representation of mount Meru, this is why so many temples including Angkor Wat itself are surrounded by moats built in a mountain like pyramidal shape and topped by precisely five towers. Would you like to go here?

Bromo-Tengger-Semeru National Park

BROMO-TENGGER-SEMERU NATIONAL PARK is a beautiful and large place its 800 square kilometers. This is a great place if you like awesome views or you like volcanos. Theres an active volcano named Mt. Semeru it  rises 3676 meters above sea level. Another volcano is Mount Bromo it rises 2329 meters from sea level and is recognizable because it is always shooting white sulphurous smoke from it. even if you're not into volcanos then this is still a great place. The valcanoes jutting out of a beautiful sandy desert is something great to look at or takes pictures of. So can your tell me would you want to go here and spend time?

Bromo Tengger Semeru national park

The Bromo Tengger Semeru in Indonesia is 800 square kilometers. It is easts of Java, this national park has great sights of volcanos, it has one of the most volcanoes in province mt. Semeru is one of the volcanoes that are named after  this national park. This is because it’s a active volcano. Warungs are local food stalls thats where you can get food but they close at seven-thirty so you have to eat early. There are multiple ways to come to this national park tourists usually come from Probolinggo. So would you go to Bromo Tengger Semeru national park?

The majestic Luang Prabang Province

I'm writing about Luang Prabang is a city that hold a population of about 50,000 people. The name Luang Prabang means royal Buddha. It is the capital of the Luang Prabang Province. It is located in a city in north central Laos. Now this is all about Luang Prabang but my weakness is spelling. Also about Luang Prabang it is a beautiful and historical province. It was once royal capital and seat of government of the Kingdom of Laos. Every morning, hundreds of monks from the various temples dedicated to Buddha. What religion do you and your family believe in?

THat sport doe

Southeast asia plays many sports, but the most popular sport in Southeast asia is Kabaddi. I have no clue on what sport that is. Kabaddi is a wrestling sport.  My favorite sport is basketball which they play but it is  not as popular as a lot of other sports in Southeast Asia.  They have names short like the initials for basketball would be BK.  I would not want to do the kabaddi sport because I do not like to wrestle. Although the second most popular sport is Sepak Takraw, which is like volleyball.  I would rather play Sepak Takraw because volleyball is fun to play sometimes with friends.

Fun sports in Southeast Asia

Sports in Southeast Asia are very interesting. Fun sports that they play there include kick volleyball, which is pretty much volleyball where you can not use your hands, boat racing, which is pretty self explanatory, and wushu, and that is pretty much martial Arts. I feel like it would be very exciting (word choice) to try kick volleyball myself to be honest. In this sport, you can not only use your feet, but you can also use your feet and anything else that is not your hands. Another thing that is popular here is the Southeast Asian games. They are a small multi-sport event involving participants from the countries of Southeast Asia held every two years. Most people say that they love the energetic (word choice) atmosphere.

Sports in Southeast Asia

There are many interesting things in Southeast Asia. Basketball I think is interesting in Southeast Asia because it isn't popular there, but they still play a lot. Every two years there they hold a under -18 championship for basketball and it is a fun (word choice)  thing to go see. Another fun championship there is the under -16,  (I don’t know if I put punctuation here)that has only happened three times. A different basketball league called the ASEAN Basketball League what players and is really fun to watch. Baseball has never been a game really played in Southeast Asia, but they added a new fun thing to go watch in the Southeast Asian Games. You can watch cricket, track and field, and now baseball and (do I need this “and” here) even more. Another thing to watch at the games is that they have tournaments of football (Soccer) teams playing each other. There are many people on different country teams training for the Olympics, so that is a fun thing to go look and find people training. At the games you can go see the opening ceremony for the teams getting recognized. A studium what is very nice to see an event is National Stadium that holds 55,000 capacity and the events there sometimes is rugby, cricket, football, athletics, concerts, family entertainment shows, national and community events. Would you want to see any of the events and places?

Temples at Bagan

There’s only a few sunsets in the world that compare to the marigold light of the fading day that settles on the rusty patina of the thousands of temples on the Bagan plains. But the temples at Ankgor, Cambodia, the appeal of the Buddhist temples at Bagan does not lie individual majesty, but  in the high-density and endless array of similar structures lunging out of the plains. There are 13,000 temples used to stand in the city of Bagan, the capital of the ancient Kingdom of Pagan. Some of the 2,000 Temples still remain. I would definitely want to go to the temples on the Bagan plains because I think its really cool to look at the sunset I also think its really pretty. Would you want to go here?

Blog Episode VIII: In Which We Head East!

Heading east? Wait...I'm still looking forward to heading west to Snowboard in Colorado in a few short days! Fourteen to be exact, but who's counting?

Simple quest this time. I'm going to point you off in the direction of 10 Awesome Things to see and do in Southeast Asia.  In case you didn't figure out the blog title, Southeast Asia is east of South Asia, eh? Anyway, the link shows you thumbnail photos and gives a small blurb about two handfuls (get it?) of great places to visit in this largely tropical region. Small blurbs. Like blurbs that you and I each were able to read with ease. So don't just turn around and throw those back at me...I've already read them! So after choosing one of the places, do a little research and fire away! Which place would you most like to visit and why? What myriad reasons can you give to make your case?

Grading: Because we are stronger writers now, Spelling-Error-Free POSTS must be 100+ words (4 points), contain a hyperlink or a video, or have a picture/video brought in to your post (1 point) and end with a question (1 point).  For the last four points, this is where you can work to be a better writer on an area that you recognize is a personal weakness or a personal goal. Point out your chosen area by using and underlining an "I struggle" or "I would like to expand my writing to include" statement, such as I often struggle with word choice or I would like to try adding alliteration. Doing so will get you your seventh point, And your eighth, ninth and tenth points will be for using and underlining three correct examples of your chosen area of weakness or writing goal...kinda like I did in the previous two paragraphs.

(In case you are struggling, I often see errors in comma use, apostrophe use, word choice and word usage.)

COMMENTS: You must be the first or second comment made to a post and it must now be 75+ words, spelling-error free of course (5 points), and once again it should clearly show that you have looked up information from the post and added it as part of your response (2 points). And once again, this time you must suggest to this author that they read another author's post. Connect your suggestion with a solid reason. For example you might say, "Hey Julio, I really liked reading your post about Sri Lanka and the amazing food they have there. It dawned on me that you might really like to read Darby's post. I know, I know...she wrote about Bengal, not Sri Lanka. But you will notice that each culture seems to share a love of spicy food, don't you agree?" See how I connected the two different posts by a common thread? That is your mission, and success there will earn you your final 3 points.

Well, what are you waiting for? The 3rd ranked (Are you kidding me?) villain of all time awaits your posts.

The temple full of rats

There is a temple in India called Karni Mata which have full of rats. It have over 20,000 black rats and you can find a white rat if you are lucky.
