Cameroonian food

Gari and eru
My family is Cameroonian and our culture very much revolves around the magnificent cuisine. For instance a very popular dish is called eru. In addition it pairs well with fufu as your starch or gari. Eru is a type of vegetable, and it is cooked with palm oil, other green vegetables, and a meat of your choice such as turkey, chicken, beef, goat, and otherwise. There are other dishes similar like okra soup, mbanga soup (an oil/vegetable) soup that also goes with fufu or gari. The food that you can find in Cameroon is a bit of an acquired taste but once you get used to it it is delicious. Do you know about any other foods in  Cameroon?

  1. Cameroon has very diverse food because of the wide variety of people. Also, because of its good farming land, cassava, corn, and okra are some staple foods from this region. Did you know that they also use their fertile soil to grow coffee beans. Ndole is another food that comes from Cameroon.
