NEPAL AND ITS TREASURES!

                             NEPAL & ITS TREASURES!

Nepal and its treasures? More like diversity. Nepal's flag is the ONLY flag that is not a quadrilateral in shape! The flag is actually made out of two triangles to represent Hinduism and Buddhism. Do you know what a Yeti is? Well its rumored to be in Nepal. A yeti is an ape-like creature that lives in high valleys.

Namaste is the traditional greeting in Nepal. Namaste can mean Hello, Good Bye, or Thank You but translates to “I salute the God in you.” People put their palms together and then bow their forehead, and say “Namaste.” I shall say namaste now, thanks for reading!

India's Soccer team

There are multiple sports in South asia. The most popular one by far though is Soccer, or known over there as futbol. Also a very good soccer team is from India. I have never really liked futbol but it is really popular over there. One good team is India's soccer team because they have qualified for the last 6 consecutive FIFA World Cups. Japan is also joined in the south asian area by Bangladesh, Japan, Maldives, Nepal and others. It also won its first medal (Bronze) in the summer Olympics of 1968. Its first ever world cup appearance was in 1998. Those are some of the reasons why Japan is one of the better Futbol teams.

Arts and culture festival

I chose to write my blog about a festival in Afghanistan. I have always thought it would be so cool to travel around the world going to different festivals, learning the different cultures. If I ever end up going to Afghanistan I will be sure to go to the Afghanistan Arts and Cultures Festival. The festival started out to preserve, promote, and increase knowledge of the Afghan culture. The festival celebrates the culture with many musical and dance performances along with Afghan food and art displays. So if you ever find yourself in Afghanistan make sure to find out if their arts and cultures festival is going on.

Diwali is a very important celebration in India it happens every october and november in India and people put a lot of lights outside of their homes. It is supposed to celebrate the goddess Lakshmi she is responsible for giving people education, money, success and a good quality of life in our culture. During Diwali we decorate the home in colorful decorations and we make sweets and indian food also we do pujas(prayers) for god. Diwali comes every year according to the indian calender. Another way to say Diwali is Deepavali it has 2 ways to spell its name. A fun fact about Diwali is that it is also celebrated because of Ram returning to Ayodhya.

the origins of Diwali the Hindu festival of light

Diwali is the Hindu festival of light. It originated in India but now it is celebrated around the world. In 2010 it was inaugurated as an official yearly event at the historic Devon House residence for the first time for effort to celebrate the country's Indian heritage nationally. Also it is India's biggest holiday. Diwali or also called Deepavali started around 2,500 years ago. the holiday is 5 days long and has multiple references in religious text. many of the stories are about the triumph of good over evil. This is the origin of diwali the festival of light.
